The event, held on the 20th November 2008 at the Botanical Gardens in Edgbaston, Birmingham paid tribute to organisations that had excelled in providing work based skills qualifications with the Colleges. Proceedings were initiated by guest and Master of Ceremonies, broadcast journalist Arti Halai of Central News before Colleges Principal Dr Christine Braddock welcomed those in attendance. After a three-course meal guests were introduced to the main speaker for the evening, Jo Cameron former contestant of BBC’s ‘The Apprentice’ programme.
